It can be integrated with PLC or onboard central control, supporting remote signal triggering and automated lifting.
The descent speed of the platform is usually determined by the adjustable flow control valve on the power pack manifold. Before leaving the factory, we will preset according to your needs. You can also make on-site adjustments to make sure the best stability.
You just need to adjust the screw slightly. Rotate clockwise to reduce the flow and decrease the speed. Rotate counterclockwise to increase the flow and accelerate the speed. We suggest that you make the initial adjustment in the unloaded state and then conduct the full-load test.
When installing the hydraulic power pack, the connection of the hydraulic pipes must be kept without any distortion. You need to use seals that match the interface, such as O-rings or metal gaskets, to prevent leaks or air from entering the system. At the same time, the pipelines should avoid squeezing, vibration and friction. They should also be fixed using clamps to reduce loosening or fatigue cracking caused by vibration during operation.
The specifications of the oil port and joint should be confirmed to be consistent in advance. Before connecting, you can use high-pressure air to clean the inside of the pipeline to avoid contaminating the oil and affecting the operation of the pump and valve.
Before starting the power pack, open all low point vent valves. By slowly repeating the rise and fall cycles, the air in the system will be expelled with the fluid. Usually, after multiple start stop cycles, the bubbles will be discharged into the fuel tank, and then the vent port can be closed. After completion, you need to check the oil level to make sure that there is sufficient hydraulic oil in the tank.
What is the Hydraulic Power Pack for Wheelchair Lift?
The hydraulic power pack for wheelchair lift is an independent and highly integrated power transmission device. It can provide reliable and stable power for barrier-free facilities such as wheelchair lifting platforms.
How does the Hydraulic Power Pack for Wheelchair Lift Work?
The hydraulic power pack for wheelchair lift is mainly composed of a motor, a hydraulic pump, a control valve group, a hydraulic manifold and an oil storage tank. When the motor starts, it drives the hydraulic pump to begin working. The hydraulic pump sucks in hydraulic oil from the oil storage tank, pressurizes the oil, and outputs it.
The high-pressure oil output is distributed to the actuator after the flow and direction are adjusted by the control valve group. When it enters the hydraulic cylinder, it will push the piston to move, causing the lifting platform to rise up to the target position. To keep stability, the one-way valve locks the oil in the cylinder after the motor stops working, preventing the platform from accidentally sliding down.
During the descent phase, if you are using a single-acting hydraulic power pack, the system uses gravitational force for descent. At this point, there is no need to start the motor. The solenoid valve opens the return oil path, and the hydraulic oil is pushed back to the oil tank by the weight of the platform and the passengers.
To prevent a rapid descent, the pressure-compensated flow control valve will adjust the flow speed, allowing the platform to return to the ground at a constant speed regardless of the load.
In the double-acting hydraulic power pack, the pump continues to operate during the descent process. The directional control valve directs the high-pressure fluid to the other side of the cylinder piston, thereby driving the platform to descend.
Troubleshooting Guide for Hydraulic Power Pack for Wheelchair Lift
Motor Fails to Start
Fault Phenomenon: After pressing the start button, the drive motor did not operate and the system did not respond at all.
Possible Cause: This is usually due to an interruption in the power supply circuit. Common reasons include insufficient battery voltage, a blown main fuse, or a failed starter solenoid (relay) with burnt contacts.
Troubleshooting Suggestions: First, use a multimeter to check whether the terminal voltage of the battery is within the rated range. Then, verify that all cable connections are securely fastened and free from oxidation or corrosion. If the power supply is confirmed to be normal, please check if the signal line of the control handle is connected and replace the damaged relay if necessary.
Motor Runs but Platform Fails to Lift
Fault Phenomenon: The motor can rotate normally and make a running sound, but the lifting platform cannot rise or can only move a very short distance.
Possible Cause: This is usually caused by the pressure loss in the hydraulic circuit. For example, if the hydraulic oil level in the tank is too low, it can cause the pump to suck in air. Or, if impurities get stuck inside the electromagnetic relief valve, it will be in a semi-open state, allowing the high-pressure oil to flow directly back into the tank instead of entering the cylinder.
Troubleshooting Suggestions: First, you need to check the fuel level gauge of the fuel tank to make sure that there is sufficient fuel. Then, remove the lowering solenoid valve and use filtered compressed air to clean the impurities at the valve core and valve seat. You can also check whether the pressure setting of the relief valve is too low due to improper operation.
Platform Drifts Downward Automatically
Fault Phenomenon: After reaching the designated height and stopping, the lifting platform cannot maintain its current position and experiences a slow automatic descent.
Possible Cause: This is usually caused by internal leaks in the hydraulic system, such as poor sealing of one-way valves and wear on the sealing rings inside the hydraulic cylinder.
Troubleshooting Suggestions: You can first disassemble and clean the one-way valve inside the valve block. If the platform still drifts downward after cleaning, it is necessary to conduct an internal leakage test on the hydraulic cylinder and replace the seal kit if wear is detected.
Abnormal Operating Noise and Motion Vibration
Fault Phenomenon: During operation, there is a harsh noise, and the platform experiences irregular vibrations when it is ascending or descending.
Possible Cause: This is usually caused by air mixed into the hydraulic oil or severe blockage of the oil suction filter element. In addition, using mismatched hydraulic oil with high viscosity at low temperatures may also cause such a situation.
Troubleshooting Suggestions: You need to check if inappropriate hydraulic oil has been used. Clean the filter screen of the oil suction port to keep the smooth oil suction of the pump. Then, after confirming that the oil level is sufficient, you can perform several complete up and down full cycle operations to exhaust the air in the pipeline and cylinder.
